A couple of months ago, Henry & I had a really long chat about life purpose, direction and how one could find and live their so-called 'passion'. We started off pretty broadly and it was a relaxed conversation. But it gets very deep and serious very soon after!

The topic is something that both Henry and I are really passionate about. Both coming from medical backgrounds (dentistry and veterinary science to be specific), our choice to start Volant Wear and The Badminton Podcast came a bit from the left field and was based around wanting to do something that we love and that we're passionate about.

I'm trying not to toot our own horns here but I'm being 100% honest when I say that there are some amazing nuggets of wisdom in the episode. They're things that we have learnt from our journey and all of the self-developing material that we have consumed - for me, it's books, podcasts and live events such as Unleash The Power Within and Date With Destiny by Tony Robbins.

For Henry, it is many many books (he has an obsession with buying books!), audiobooks, podcasts, videos, TED talks and more. And if I had heard this a few years ago, I really think that it would have helped me immensely.

But rather than me just write about it, it would be the best if you just listened to it for yourself. And make sure you do the things we mention at the end because they are extremely powerful processes!

How Strength Training Can Prevent Badminton Injuries

Badminton is quite an unforgiving sport for the body. There's lots of jumping, leaping and bounding, plus a lot of stop-start movements which are heavy on the joints and muscles. Sprains, slips, strains and tears are all common badminton injuries. And there's the fact that it is one-side dominant.

One thing that can take your game to the next level

In this blog post, I'd like to discuss something that, in my opinion, is supremely important in badminton. Something that, if you improve this one thing, it will have a ripple effect on so many other parts of your game and inherently improve them also.
